Doseline

This Privacy Policy explains what the Doseline mobile application
(com.serkansayhan.doseline) does with your information. It is short, because the
app does very little with it.
In short: Doseline has no account, no server, and no analytics. Everything you record — your doses, weight, measurements, side effects, protein and water, and your settings — is stored on your device and is never transmitted to us or to anyone else. There is nowhere for us to send it: the app contains no networking code and makes no requests to any server, ours or otherwise.
You never create an account to use Doseline. There is no sign-up, no email address, no password, no social login, and no anonymous identifier assigned to you.
There is also no backend. Doseline is not a client for a service we operate — it is a self-contained app. We do not receive your data, we cannot look it up, and we could not produce it if we were asked to.
Everything you enter is written to a database inside the app's own private storage on your device. That includes:
Other apps on your device cannot read this storage, and it is removed by iOS when you delete the app.
Most of what Doseline stores is health information about you, and it is treated as such: it stays on your device. We do not collect it, do not process it, do not analyse it, do not profile you with it, and do not sell or share it with anyone — including advertisers, data brokers, insurers, employers, or pharmaceutical companies.
Doseline does not connect to Apple Health. It neither reads from nor writes to HealthKit, and it never asks for permission to do so.
Doseline's database lives in the app's Documents storage, which means it is included in your device's own backup if you have one turned on — an iCloud Backup, or an encrypted backup to a computer. This is worth stating plainly because it is the one way a copy of your record leaves your phone.
That backup is made by Apple's software under your control, not by Doseline. It is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, we have no access to it, and you can turn it off or exclude the app in your device settings. Note that this is a backup and not a sync: Doseline does not share your record between your devices, and there is currently no such feature.
Files you create with Export are written to the app's temporary cache directory, which iOS excludes from backups, and are cleared afterwards.
Doseline can remind you when a dose is due and warn you when a container is running low. If you allow notifications, these are scheduled locally on your device by iOS from your own dose history.
There is no push server, no push token, and nothing is sent anywhere to make a reminder appear. If you decline the notification permission, the rest of the app works exactly as before.
Doseline can produce a PDF summary for a clinician and CSV files of your records. Nothing is exported unless you ask for it. The files are written to temporary storage on your device and handed to the standard iOS share sheet.
What happens next is entirely your choice — you decide whether to email it, message it, save it to Files, or print it. Once you send a file somewhere, that destination's own privacy policy applies to it, and we have no involvement in or knowledge of where it went.
Doseline does not collect, and does not ask for, any of the following:
The app requests no device permissions at all except notifications, and that one is optional. This is verifiable rather than a promise: the app declares no permission usage descriptions, and it contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash reporter, and no third-party tracking library of any kind.
Doseline embeds no third-party services. The only company involved in your use of the app besides you is Apple, in the ordinary ways:
Doseline does not currently offer in-app purchases. If it offers them in the future, they will be processed by Apple, and we will never see your payment details.
Doseline is not intended for children under 13, and is rated accordingly on the App Store. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone — of any age — because the app collects nothing.
You are in direct control of everything the app holds, without asking us for anything:
Your record is protected by your device: iOS file protection, together with your passcode, Face ID or Touch ID. Because there is no server holding a copy, there is no database of ours that can be breached and no employee of ours who can read your treatment history.
The corollary is honest and worth saying: the security of your record is effectively the security of your phone. Use a passcode, and keep your device software up to date.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA to access, correct, export, or delete personal data a company holds about you, and not to have it sold.
We hold none, so there is nothing for us to disclose, sell, or delete. Those rights are satisfied directly in the app: your data is already in your possession, editing is built into every screen, export is free, and erasure is a single action in Settings. We have never sold personal information and have none to sell.
If the app changes in a way that affects this document — for example if optional syncing between your own devices is ever added — this policy will be updated before that feature ships, and the "Effective Date" above will change.
